**If you are renting, or doing ski and ride, bring a credit card, the mountain needs
this as sort of a security deposit.**

Beginner Guide for What to Bring

If you are a beginner and have never skied or snowboarded before, here is some useful information about what type of clothing and items you should bring to the mountain. It's vital to make sure that your outer layer of clothing is waterproof. Winter coats and ski pants that have waterproof material are best. If you don't own ski pants, any waterproof pants can help. Be sure to wear layers. It can get very cold, but you can also get hot. More layers give you more options if your temperature changes. It is especially crucial to wear layers of socks. Under your coat and pants you can wear fleeces or sweatshirts and sweatpants, whatever is comfortable for you and keeps you warm. Waterproof gloves are essential. Helmets are the warmest hat and the safest option. If you do not own one, you can rent from the mountain. Goggles are also key. If you don't have you can purchase from the mountain or tough it out.

Saturday Morning

4:00am: The bus arrives right in front of the old union, where all busses stop on campus. Make sure to bring all of your gear and your skis/board.

4:30am: THE BUS LEAVES BINGHAMTON. This is critical. We will be leaving at 4:30am sharp. We have to leave promptly. If you do not make the bus, tough luck. There will be no refunds for those who slept in or for any other sob stories. We are sorry it has to be this rigid, but a strict time table is necessary to provide our members with a full day of riding.

9:00am: Arrive at Okemo. Hopefully everyone will be rested, fueled up with snacks, and readyto go. Importantly, everyone must stay on the bus until the Snocats E-board members return with everyone's tickets.

*If you are renting: Bring a credit card! This is imperative. This is your safety deposit
for your skis/snowboard.

*Everyone else: Once you get your ticket you are good to go.

12ish: The Snocats E-board will be getting lunch around this time at the main lodge. Everyone is more than welcome to join us and eat. This isn't mandatory but it should be, because we're so damn interesting to be around.

4:00pm: Get to the bus! This means that if it's 3:50pm and you want to squeeze in one more run, don't. We will be leaving very quickly. If you do not make the bus because of your own negligence, tough luck. However, if you are hurt, we will have a chase vehicle to hang back for you.

4:30pm: Time to Leave! We will be leaving at this time. Make the bus guys.

9:00pm: Return to Binghamton.
